Made with love in New York.
Boketto is a Japanese word for gazing into the distance without thought: a state of open attention, where looking precedes knowing. The gallery takes its name, and its approach, from this disposition.
Boketto USA in New York presents 20th-century design that rewards sustained looking — works by French, Italian, and American designers, alongside anonymous pieces of equal conviction. Each object is selected for its relationship to material, technique, and idea, and restored by cabinetmakers, upholsterers, and finishers who treat the original intent as the standard.
Our gallery is located at 200 Lexington Avenue, in the New York Design Center, with a warehouse in Brooklyn open by appointment. We are as interested in where an object lives as in the object itself — coherence across a space, and the relationships between things, matter as much as individual works. With sister galleries in Paris and Porto, we work with collectors, designers, and architects on projects at every scale.
